Background
The Los Angeles native comes from serious basketball DNA, with multiple family members having carved out their own paths in the sport. Chatsworth High School served as his launching pad, where he built the foundation that eventually led him to commit to USC. The Trojans landed one of the crown jewels of the 2025 class when Arenas decided to stay home and play in his backyard.
Playing Style
Arenas combines legitimate size at the guard spot with the kind of court vision that can't be taught. His ability to see passing lanes and create for teammates sets him apart from other big guards who rely mainly on their physical tools. The shooting stroke needs consistency, especially from NBA range, but the mechanics are sound enough to suggest major improvement is coming. In transition, he's a problem for opposing defenses because he can push the break himself or find the right teammate in space.
Recruitment
Already enrolled at USC and competing at the college level, Arenas bypassed what would have been an intense final recruiting period. Kansas and Alabama were among the late pursuers, but the Trojans locked him up early. His ceiling projects as a future NBA player if the jump shot develops as expected.
