Background
The La Porte, Indiana native made his mark at La Lumiere School, one of the premier prep programs in the country. Adams developed his skills playing alongside elite talent including Notre Dame commits Jalen Haralson and Jonathan Sanderson. The Terrapins were able to secure his commitment and get him enrolled early, giving him a head start on his college career.
Playing Style
Adams brings excellent size for a combo guard at 6-5, allowing him to play either backcourt position effectively. His length creates problems for opposing guards on defense while giving him the ability to see over smaller defenders when running the offense. He's shown solid court vision and decision-making in college action, though he's still adjusting to the speed and physicality of the college game. The shooting stroke needs more consistency, but the mechanics are sound enough to project improvement with college-level coaching and strength work.
Recruitment
Adams is already enrolled at Maryland and contributing as a freshman after being ranked 24th nationally in the 2025 class. The early enrollment shows his commitment to developing quickly at the college level. His ceiling depends on how well he adapts to the increased competition and develops his outside shooting.
