Undersized point guards don't land at #33 in a national class by accident. At 5-10, Micah Gordon has had to win with craft, pace and decisions for years, and the market responded with ten Division I offers and a commitment to a Big East program.
Background
Gordon comes out of Plainfield, New Jersey, a state that has produced a long line of tough, skilled guards. Guards from that part of the country usually learn early that they have to earn everything, and that shows in how the evaluation of him reads. He now plays his prep ball at SPIRE Academy, the Ohio program that draws prospects from across the country and runs a high-level schedule. He has also shared the frontcourt-guard pairing at SPIRE with Najai Hines, a center ranked #67 in the 2025 class who is committed to Seton Hall.
