Scout Report

When you're the third-best player on a prep powerhouse featuring the #4 center in your class, you learn to make your mark without the ball in your hands. The 6-4 shooting guard has done exactly that at Bella Vista Prep, finding ways to impact winning alongside elite talent.

Background

Robinson comes out of Scottsdale, Arizona, where basketball talent runs deep in the desert. The move to Bella Vista Prep represented a chance to test his skills against the highest level of competition daily. Sharing the floor with Paul Osaruyi, the #4 center nationally, and point guard Miles Sadler, who's already committed to West Virginia, Robinson has learned to excel in a star-studded environment. This kind of high-level prep experience teaches players how to contribute to winning without needing constant touches.

Playing Style

Robinson operates as a versatile wing who understands his role changes based on matchups and game flow. He's comfortable working off the ball, using his length to create separation on cuts and in catch-and-shoot situations. His decision-making reflects a player who's learned to read defenses quickly, particularly when teams focus their attention on his higher-ranked teammates. On defense, his 6-4 frame allows him to guard multiple positions, and he's developed instincts for help defense playing alongside elite interior presence. Robinson doesn't force the action, but he's ready when opportunities present themselves. His tempo matches the game's needs rather than trying to impose his own rhythm, which coaches love in complementary players.

Strengths

His basketball IQ jumps off the film, especially in how he finds open spaces when defenses collapse on Osaruyi or Sadler. Robinson has developed a reliable catch-and-shoot stroke that extends beyond the arc, making him a legitimate floor-spacing threat. His length creates problems for smaller guards, and he uses it well to contest shots and get deflections. The mental side of his game is advanced for his class, understanding when to be aggressive and when to facilitate for better shots.

Areas to Watch

Creating his own offense remains the biggest question mark as he moves toward college. Most of his production comes from designed plays or open looks created by teammates, and developing a reliable pull-up game would unlock another gear. Adding strength to his frame will help him finish through contact and guard stronger wings at the college level.

Player Comparison

Think Buddy Hield at Oklahoma without the explosive athleticism but with better defensive instincts. Both players maximized their impact as complementary pieces early in their careers before developing into primary options. Robinson has that same understanding of spacing and shot selection that made Hield so valuable before he became a go-to scorer.

Recruitment

Nine D1 offers tells the story of a player programs view as a solid contributor rather than a program-changer. Oregon and TCU represent his highest-level interest, with Wisconsin and West Virginia also in the mix. The connection to Miles Sadler could give West Virginia an edge if they want to pair the backcourt duo at the college level. As a 2027 prospect, Robinson has plenty of time to add to his offer list, but he's already drawn attention from quality programs that value his skill set.

Projection

Robinson projects as a rotation player who could develop into a starter by his junior or senior year at the right program. His ceiling is likely a quality role player who can space the floor and defend multiple positions, with an outside shot at becoming a secondary scorer if his creation skills develop. Programs looking for smart, coachable wings who understand their role will find value in Robinson's combination of size, skill, and basketball IQ.
