Springfield, Virginia has produced its share of college talent over the years, and Briscoe represents the latest wave coming out of Northern Virginia's competitive prep circuit. Strengths
That 6-6 frame combined with legitimate guard skills creates matchup problems at every level. His shooting mechanics are sound from three-point range, and he's already comfortable pulling up off the dribble in catch-and-shoot situations. The handle is tight enough to create separation against bigger defenders, but he's physical enough to post up smaller guards when the mismatch presents itself. What really separates him is his court vision and willingness to make the extra pass even when he has decent looks available.
Areas to Watch
Adding functional strength will unlock another gear in his driving game, particularly when attacking set defenses where contact is inevitable. His shot selection can be inconsistent when the game speeds up, sometimes settling for contested threes instead of using his length advantage closer to the basket. Developing a more reliable mid-range pull-up would make him nearly impossible to game-plan against.

He reminds me of a young Mikal Bridges in terms of his two-way impact and positional versatility. Both players have that smooth, effortless style that doesn't jump off the screen immediately but shows up in the plus-minus column every night. The shooting stroke and defensive instincts are already there, just like Bridges showed early in his college career at Villanova.
Recruitment
Eleven Division I offers as a sophomore tells you everything about his trajectory right now. Arizona State, Cal, Mississippi State, Oklahoma State, and Virginia Tech represent the high-major interest, while schools like Bryant and Morehead State give him solid fallback options. With two more years of development ahead, expect that offer list to expand significantly once he hits the summer circuit.

His ceiling is a four-year starter for a tournament team who can guard multiple positions and contribute 12-15 points per game as an upperclassman. The skill set translates well to modern college basketball where versatile wings are at a premium. Professional basketball isn't out of the question if he continues developing his scoring consistency and adds the necessary strength.
