Scout Report
The 2026 class in Georgia continues to develop intriguing prospects, with several guards emerging from the talent-rich Atlanta metro area.
Background
Austin Leonard suits up for Grayson High School, a program that has established itself as one of Georgia's premier basketball destinations. The Rams have built a reputation for developing college-ready talent and competing at the highest level of Georgia high school basketball. Leonard is working through his development as part of the loaded 2026 class that features impressive depth across the state.
Playing Style
As a guard prospect, Leonard is in the early stages of defining his identity on the court. His development at Grayson will be crucial in determining whether he projects as more of a scoring threat or facilitator at the next level. The program's track record suggests he's receiving quality coaching and competing against high-level competition regularly. His ability to adapt to different roles within Grayson's system will likely shape how college coaches eventually evaluate his skill set and potential impact.
Recruitment
Leonard has yet to generate reported scholarship offers, which is typical for many 2026 prospects who still have significant development time remaining. His trajectory at Grayson will be worth monitoring as he gains more exposure through high school competition and potentially AAU circuits. The Georgia guard has ample time to establish himself as a legitimate college prospect with continued growth.
