Scout Report
Rising sophomore guards don't often command attention on the national stage, but one physical playmaker in Georgia is already turning heads with his explosive performances.
Background
Bryson Jatta suits up for Hillgrove High School in Georgia, competing in the ultra-competitive Region 3AAAAAA. As a member of the Class of 2026, he's still early in his high school journey but has already established himself as one of the most promising young guards in the state. The sophomore has been making waves on the AAU circuit and in high school competition against elite-level competition.
Playing Style
Jatta brings a rare combination of physicality and versatility to the guard position that sets him apart from his peers. His ability to score both at the rim with aggressive drives and stretch the floor from three-point range makes him a dual threat that's difficult to gameplan against. The young guard displays advanced court vision and basketball IQ, consistently making plays for teammates while maintaining his scoring efficiency. His physical style of play and willingness to attack the basket demonstrate the type of toughness that translates well to higher levels of competition.
Recruitment
While Jatta has yet to receive his first Division I offer, that's expected to change rapidly as college coaches get more exposure to his game. His performances against top-tier competition in Georgia's most competitive region should have major programs taking notice soon. With two more years to develop his game, Jatta projects as a high-major prospect with the physical tools and skill set that Power Five programs covet.
Stat Highlight
Jatta exploded for a game-high 31 points and 5 rebounds to lead No. 5 Hillgrove past No. 4 Pebblebrook 72-57 in a crucial Region 3AAAAAA showdown, showcasing his ability to perform in high-stakes matchups against elite competition.
