Scout Report
Utah high school basketball has another intriguing prospect emerging from the competitive landscape, with early glimpses suggesting a player who combines physicality with court awareness.
Background
Bentley Farnworth suits up for Orem High School in Utah, competing in one of the state's more competitive basketball environments. As a member of the Class of 2026, he's still in the early stages of his high school career but has already begun to make his presence felt on the court. His development within the Utah prep basketball scene positions him as a player to monitor as he continues to mature physically and refine his skillset.
Playing Style
Farnworth brings a compelling combination of strength and versatility to the court that allows him to impact the game in multiple ways. His physical tools give him an advantage in battles for position and rebounds, while his quickness enables him to create separation on offense and stay connected defensively. The versatility in his game suggests he can adapt to different roles depending on team needs, whether that's facilitating for teammates or looking for his own scoring opportunities. His court awareness and ability to process the game quickly are notable attributes that should serve him well as he faces increasingly sophisticated defensive schemes.
Recruitment
With no reported offers at this stage, Farnworth remains in the early phases of the recruitment process, which is typical for a Class of 2026 prospect. His combination of physical tools and basketball IQ suggests he has the foundation to develop into a college-level player as he continues to add polish to his game. The next two years will be crucial for his development and exposure to college coaches evaluating Utah prep talent.
