Elijah Roberts
Florida
Scout Report
When a 2026 prospect already has four major D1 offers locked up and picks Florida over programs like Notre Dame and SMU, you pay attention.
Background
Roberts suits up for Valley High School, where he's been putting together an impressive junior campaign. Playing alongside highly-rated big man Trevin Jirak, who's headed to Iowa as the #125 prospect in 2025, Roberts has had quality competition in practice every day. That tandem has given Valley a formidable frontcourt presence all season long.
Playing Style
Roberts brings the versatility modern college programs crave in their power forwards. He can step out and knock down perimeter shots while still doing damage around the rim. His motor runs high on both ends - you'll see him fighting for offensive rebounds one possession, then sliding his feet to stay with guards on switches the next. The frame looks like it can add good weight as he develops. Still needs to tighten up his handle when facing up against quicker defenders, and his shot selection can get a bit wild when he's feeling it from deep.
Recruitment
Florida won a competitive recruiting battle that included some serious programs in SMU, Notre Dame, and Miami. The Gators clearly see him as a cornerstone piece for their 2026 class. With his combination of size, skill, and work ethic, he projects as a multi-year contributor who could develop into an All-SEC caliber player by his junior or senior season.
