Scout Report
In the vast landscape of Canadian basketball talent, emerging prospects from smaller academies often possess the raw potential that major programs overlook until it's too late.
Background
Thunder Bay hails from William Academy in Ontario, representing the growing pipeline of Canadian basketball talent that continues to make waves in North American recruiting circles. As a member of the Class of 2026, this prospect is navigating the competitive landscape of prep basketball while developing their skills at the academy level. The Ontario basketball scene has produced numerous college and professional players in recent years, creating increased attention on programs like William Academy.
Playing Style
Without extensive exposure data available, Thunder Bay represents the quintessential development prospect that college coaches love to uncover. The William Academy system is known for emphasizing fundamentals and basketball IQ, suggesting this player has been coached with proper technique and game understanding. Ontario prospects often bring a combination of skill development and basketball intelligence that translates well to the collegiate level. The challenge for Thunder Bay will be gaining the necessary exposure and competition level needed to showcase their abilities to major college programs.
Recruitment
Currently flying under the radar without reported scholarship offers, Thunder Bay represents a potential sleeper pick for mid-major and high-major programs willing to invest in development. The 2026 class timeline provides ample opportunity for growth and exposure through AAU circuits and academy showcases.
