Scout Report

When you find a 6-5 guard with legitimate size and developing court vision, you stop what you're doing and take notes.

Background

Hayden comes from Windermere Prep, where he's been developing his craft in a solid prep environment. Basketball runs in the family with his father James and siblings all connected to the game. That kind of household understanding of what it takes usually translates to better basketball IQ and work habits.

Playing Style

At 6-5, Hayden has the frame to play multiple positions, which is exactly what college coaches want in today's game. He can handle the ball in transition and has shown flashes of being able to create for teammates in halfcourt sets. His shot selection is still inconsistent, and he needs to add strength to finish through contact at the rim. The defensive potential is there with his length, but he's got to improve his lateral quickness to stay with quicker guards.

Recruitment

No reported offers yet, but that's not unusual for a 2026 prospect still developing his game. His size and skill combination should start attracting mid-major attention as he continues to grow into his frame. If he can tighten up his handle and become more consistent from three, high-major programs will start circling.
