Paul Peterson
Head Coach
Paul Peterson serves as head coach of the nationally-ranked Wasatch Academy basketball program, where he has established himself as one of the premier high school coaches in the country. A former Division II standout at BYU-Hawaii, Peterson was a four-year starter who earned All-Star and All-Conference honors multiple times during his collegiate career. His playing experience extended internationally, competing professionally in England, Germany, and Serbia before transitioning into coaching. Peterson began his coaching journey at his alma mater BYU-Hawaii in 2010-11 before joining Wasatch Academy in 2018. After serving as Associate Head Coach, he was promoted to head coach in 2020. Under his leadership, the program has maintained its elite status as a top 10 nationally-ranked team and earned five invitations to the prestigious GEICO Nationals. Peterson specializes in comprehensive player development, working with athletes from youth league through professional levels to improve every aspect of their game.
