Head Coach
Sean McAloon serves as head basketball coach at IMG Academy, bringing exceptional leadership and proven success to one of the nation's premier athletic programs. McAloon arrived at IMG Academy in 2017 after an outstanding tenure at St. John's College High School in Washington, D.C., where he established himself as one of the top coaches in the DMV area. During his impressive coaching career, McAloon has accumulated over 300 wins and earned Coach of the Year honors six times across 12 seasons. His expertise in player development is evident through his mentorship of 40 college basketball players and multiple professional athletes. At St. John's College High School, McAloon guided his team to a 25-10 record in his final season and led the program to a Washington Catholic Athletic Conference championship in 2015. McAloon focuses on establishing strong program identity while identifying and developing elite talent, making him an ideal fit for IMG Academy's mission of preparing student-athletes for the highest levels of competition.
