Jarrett Brown brings extensive coaching experience to his role as head basketball coach at East Peoria. His career spans multiple levels, including nine seasons at Spoon River College where he served seven years as head coach, and four years as an assistant coach at Southeastern Community College in Burlington, Iowa. Most recently, Brown coached at Deer Creek-Mackinaw for two seasons, compiling an overall record of 19-41 while going 7-17 in Heart of Illinois Conference play. Brown took over the East Peoria program after former head coach Jon Grzanich resigned following a successful 19-win 2023 season. Known for his focus on building strong team culture, Brown emphasizes the importance of players embracing change and growth. He believes in developing not just skilled players, but committed team members who buy into a unified vision. Brown's coaching staff includes former Peoria Central athletes Jamie King and Jesse Crawford, bringing additional expertise to the program.
