Program Scout Report

Overview

St Joseph has established itself as a competitive independent program, drawing attention through a developing roster of 18 tracked players spanning multiple graduating classes. Competing outside a traditional conference structure allows the program flexibility in scheduling and exposure, contributing to its growing profile in prep basketball circles.

Coaching Staff

Head coach Steve Donahue leads the program, overseeing both on-court development and the cultivation of a multi-class talent pipeline. His approach emphasizes building depth across classes, as reflected in the program's mix of upperclassmen and younger prospects currently on the roster.

Player Development

The program's development pipeline is anchored by Tounde Yessoufou, a nationally ranked 2025 prospect checking in at #13, signaling St Joseph's capacity to produce elite-level talent. Supporting him are Julius Price (2026, #113) and early standouts Aidan Carter and Joel Patrick, both ranked in the 2028 class, pointing to sustained development across multiple graduating years.

Culture & Academics

As an independent program, St Joseph appears to prioritize a self-directed developmental environment, giving the coaching staff latitude to shape roster composition and competitive schedule according to program needs.

Recruiting Outlook

With a top-13 national prospect in Yessoufou headlining the 2025 class and multiple 2028 prospects already ranked, St Joseph shows a promising trajectory of early talent identification. The presence of ranked players across three different graduating classes suggests a program building sustainable recruiting momentum rather than relying on a single standout class.
