Overview

Calvary Christian Academy has carved out a respected identity within Florida's independent prep basketball landscape, competing outside traditional conference structures to build a flexible, nationally oriented schedule. The program's independent status allows it to pursue high-level matchups and showcase opportunities that elevate its visibility among college recruiters and national evaluators.

Coaching Staff

Head coach Cilk Mc leads the program with an emphasis on structured development and competitive scheduling designed to prepare players for the next level. The coaching staff prioritizes exposure to elite competition, positioning the program as a proving ground for prospects seeking to validate their skill sets against top-tier talent nationally.

Player Development

The current 12-man roster reflects a program actively building its talent pipeline, with standout prospects like 2025 forward Shon Abaev, ranked #20 nationally, and 2026 guard Collin Paul, ranked #124, anchoring the team's recruiting profile. This blend of a high-major-caliber senior prospect alongside an emerging underclassman suggests a program capable of sustaining competitive depth across multiple recruiting cycles.

Culture & Academics

Based in Florida, Calvary Christian Academy operates within a faith-based educational framework, a common structure among the state's prep basketball programs that blends athletic ambition with academic and character-focused schooling.

Recruiting Outlook

With Shon Abaev representing a top-20 national talent in the 2025 class, Calvary Christian Academy has established itself as a legitimate stop for high-major recruiters evaluating Florida prospects. The presence of Collin Paul in the 2026 class indicates the program's pipeline extends beyond a single standout season, and continued independent scheduling flexibility should allow the coaching staff to keep attracting attention-grabbing matchups that further elevate roster visibility heading into future recruiting cycles.
