Program Scout Report

Overview

Father Judge stands as an independent program carving out its own identity outside conference affiliation, giving the coaching staff flexibility in scheduling and roster development. The program has begun attracting attention on the prep basketball radar through its emerging talent pipeline.

Coaching Staff

Head coach Chris Roantree leads the program, overseeing a roster that spans multiple class years and development stages. His staff emphasizes building a sustainable pipeline of talent from the ground up, with an eye toward long-term program growth rather than short-term results.

Player Development

The program currently tracks 15 players across its roster, reflecting a developmental approach that spans multiple graduating classes. With prospects like Rezon Harris Jr. already garnering recognition as early as the 2028 class, Father Judge appears focused on identifying and cultivating talent well before players reach their final prep seasons.

Culture & Academics

As an independent school, Father Judge offers a distinct environment shaped by its own academic and athletic structure rather than conference-driven competition.

Recruiting Outlook

Father Judge's recruiting trajectory is anchored by two standout names: Rezon Harris Jr., a 2028 prospect ranked #43 nationally, and Derrick Morton-Rivera, a 2026 prospect ranked #171. The presence of a nationally ranked underclassman in Harris Jr. suggests the program is positioning itself for sustained relevance in coming recruiting cycles, while Morton-Rivera's ranking signals near-term collegiate interest. Together, these two prospects give Father Judge a multi-year foundation to build around as the program continues to develop its identity on the independent prep circuit.
