Program Scout Report

Overview

Southeastern Prep operates as an independent program in Florida, competing outside a traditional conference structure and building its identity through talent acquisition and national exposure. The program currently carries a top-heavy roster profile, headlined by two players ranked at the very top of the 2027 class. That concentration of elite prospects places Southeastern Prep firmly in the national recruiting conversation.

Coaching Staff

David Peavy leads the program as head coach, guiding an independent schedule that demands strong roster management and player buy-in. Detailed background on his résumé and coaching philosophy is limited at this time, but his ability to attract and organize top-ranked talent speaks to his standing among prospects and their families. The program's current prospect profile reflects a coach trusted to manage high-profile players.

Player Development

Southeastern Prep's current roster showcases a strong development and recruiting pipeline across multiple classes, with prospects ranked from the top of the 2027 class to the 2026 top 25. Obinna Ekezie Jr. (2026, #17) and Toni Bryant (2026, #24) represent the senior group, while Marri Wesley (2027, #81) adds further depth in the junior class. Verified NBA alumni and college placement details are not yet available, so the program's track record is best evaluated through the caliber of talent it currently houses.

Culture & Academics

Specific details on academics and facilities are not yet documented, but the program's independent status suggests a flexible, exposure-driven environment centered on player development. Scouts should verify campus and academic resources directly.

Recruiting Outlook

The outlook is highly favorable, anchored by Beckham Black (2027, #1) and CJ Rosser (2027, #2), a rare pairing of the top two players in a single class. With seven tracked players and five nationally ranked prospects, the program has significant depth of talent for its size. If this pipeline continues, Southeastern Prep is positioned to rise as a premier destination for elite prep talent in the coming seasons.
