Mesa
Program Scout Report
Overview
Mesa is an independent prep basketball program in Arizona that competes outside a traditional conference structure. That independent status gives the program flexibility in how it builds its identity and approaches competition. With 14 players currently tracked, Mesa maintains a visible presence on the recruiting landscape.
Coaching Staff
Sam Duane leads the Mesa program as head coach. Detailed background on his career path, coaching philosophy, and past achievements is limited at this time, so evaluators should consider direct program contact and film study for a fuller picture of his approach. His stewardship of a tracked roster of 14 players reflects an active commitment to building talent within the program.
Player Development
Mesa's documented alumni outcomes, including NBA and college placements, are not yet available in PrepRadar's records, which leaves the program's long-term development track record still to be established. The current roster offers the clearest window into its pipeline, led by Jakyi Miles, a 2028 prospect ranked #26 in his class. A nationally ranked prospect at this stage signals that the program can attract and showcase high-level talent.
Culture & Academics
Specific details on Mesa's academic structure, campus environment, and facilities are not currently on file. Prospective families are encouraged to visit and verify these elements directly.
Recruiting Outlook
Jakyi Miles anchors the current outlook as the program's top tracked prospect in the 2028 class, and his #26 ranking gives Mesa a meaningful national talking point. With 14 players tracked in total, the program has depth worth monitoring as evaluations continue. Mesa's trajectory depends on its ability to add further ranked talent around Miles and to build a visible record of college placements over the coming cycles.
