Head Varsity Coach Pat Clatchey, a 1980 Mount Saint Joseph graduate, has led the Gaels basketball program since 1992, establishing himself as one of the most successful coaches in school history. With a remarkable career record of 754-253, Clatchey has guided his teams to more than 20 league or tournament championships since 2003, including six MIAA A tournament titles. Under his leadership, the Gaels have captured multiple Baltimore Catholic League Tournament championships and consecutive MIAA A tournament titles in 2019-20 and most recently. Clatchey reached the significant milestone of 750 career wins in February 2022, cementing his legacy over three decades at his alma mater.
