Background
The Atlanta native made the leap to Overtime Elite, trading traditional high school ball for the academy's elite competition and development model. Coming from Georgia's deep talent pool, Bardwell brings that southern grit and basketball IQ that college coaches covet. The 6-6 small forward is surrounded by elite talent at OTE, including fellow Kansas commit Taylen Kinney.
Playing Style
Bardwell plays with a maturity that separates him from most 2027 prospects. His size and wingspan create matchup problems on the perimeter, and he uses his length well defensively without fouling excessively. He's got solid handles for his size and can create his own shot when needed. The jump shot is consistent from mid-range, though he'll need to extend that range to the college three-point line consistently. His basketball IQ shows in how he moves without the ball and finds open teammates.
Recruitment
Four major programs threw their hats in the ring early - Kansas, Louisville, Texas, and USC - but Bill Self and the Jayhawks won this recruitment. That's a strong vote of confidence from a program that knows how to develop wings.
