Scout Report
When the lights are brightest and the pressure is on, some players rise to the occasion while others fade into the background.
Background
Marquise Leslie represents Alexander High School in Georgia as a member of the Class of 2027. The young prospect has been steadily developing his game through the high school ranks, putting together consistent performances that have begun to catch the attention of scouts. His journey through Georgia's competitive high school basketball landscape has provided him with valuable experience against quality competition.
Playing Style
Leslie demonstrates the ability to impact games on both ends of the floor, showcasing versatility that translates to winning basketball. His offensive skill set includes reliable shooting touch, as evidenced by his efficient shooting performances, and he possesses the basketball IQ to find his spots within the offensive flow. What sets Leslie apart is his ability to step up in crucial moments, particularly in second-half situations where games are decided. His rebounding instincts and presence on the defensive end suggest a well-rounded player who understands how to contribute beyond just scoring.
Recruitment
As a 2027 prospect, Leslie is still in the early stages of his recruitment with no reported offers at this time. However, his consistent production and ability to perform in key moments should begin to generate interest from college programs as he continues to develop. His ceiling appears promising given his young age and the flashes of potential he's already displayed at the high school level.
Stat Highlight
Leslie's offensive efficiency was on full display in a recent performance where he connected on 6-of-9 shots to finish with 15 points and eight rebounds, marking his highest scoring output since December.

Saah Nimley has recruited Georgia as well as anybody the last several years. He found another gem in Marquise Leslie @quiseleslie2. Long, athletic 6’7 forward with a pretty stroke. Had 27 points (four 3s) in state semifinal win over Tri-Cities today. https://t.co/t53Ij58DSU
