Scout Report
When they call you the 'King of Bounce,' you've already made your mark on the hardwood in ways that transcend traditional scouting metrics.
Background
Shia Francis hails from Houston, Texas, where he suits up for Second Baptist, a program known for developing quality basketball talent. As a Class of 2026 prospect, Francis is still early in his high school journey but has already begun turning heads with his performances on the court. The 6'3" combo guard represents the versatile, multi-dimensional player that college programs covet in today's positionless basketball landscape.
Playing Style
Francis brings an intriguing blend of size and skill at the combo guard position, standing 6'3" with the ability to handle both backcourt roles effectively. His nickname 'King of Bounce' suggests exceptional athleticism and leaping ability, traits that translate to impact plays on both ends of the floor. As a combo guard, he possesses the court vision to facilitate for teammates while also having the scoring mentality to create his own offense. His rebounding ability from the guard position adds another dimension to his game, showing his willingness to compete for boards against bigger players and contribute beyond traditional guard responsibilities.
Recruitment
With no reported offers yet, Francis is still building his recruitment profile as an underclassman. His combination of size, athleticism, and versatility at the guard position should generate interest from college programs as he continues developing his game. The Class of 2026 timeline gives him ample opportunity to refine his skills and establish himself as a legitimate college prospect over the next two seasons.
Stat Highlight
Francis showcased his all-around impact with an impressive double-double performance, recording 25 points and 10 rebounds in a standout showing that highlighted his ability to contribute across multiple statistical categories.
